It was late August 2012 running into September.......... I had followed a woman [not just any woman] to New York...... when she left [which she did a lot] I drove South and on to the Pacific in search of what the US actually was...... Rome two millennia on...... and the centre of my life one way or another since Vietnam and JFK to Obama and the GFC... Just what was it...who are they and why should we care?
